Ligger och degar i sängen i skrivandets stund fastän jag vet att jag borde kliva upp för att: stretcha, ge mina fåglar mat, ta mina vitaminer och glida ner till gymmet omgående. Mina ladies har sjungit alla sina valser – vilket är en stark signal på att de vill att JAG, deras fågelmami, ska kliva upp ur min bekvämlighet och ge de nytt frö. Juni älskar nigerfrön, och ja, jag borde typ fråga ZOO om ett samarbete eftersom jag beställer ju bara fågelfrö därifrån.
På tal om samarbeten så vill jag verkligen komma igång med min UGC-kreativa hörna nu i höst! Ett företag jag veeeerkligen vill samarbeta med är givetvis ARKET (om ni har följt mig ett bra tag här så vet ni att jag älskar typ allt därifrån), och JENNAH eftersom de har så fina och sköna tyger. Jag köpte ju mitt umrah-set där ifrån, rememba? Överdelen är en lång khimar med stora volanger som jag älskar. Men som en lång giraff på hela en meter och sjuttioåtta centimeter kan jag tycka att det är svårt att hitta khimar som faktiskt funkar för oss långisar. Jag vill ha något långt (inget som släpar till marken dock), pösigt OCH praktiskt! Vilka småföretagare tycker ni att jag ska hugga klorna i? GE MIG TIPS.

I’m perhaps some 3-4 cm shorter than you and have always had the problem of finding maxi skirts and jilbab skirts that wouldn’t make my underpants visible 😀 as apparently, all of them would be a few cm too short. I was even ”forced” to sell some of my pretty skirts on second hand platforms because they weren’t full-length for me. So yes, as a tall girl myself, I HEAR YOU! Anyway, long story short, after having tested several brands (Muslim-oriented and mass-market ones), I have realized that my go-to length in skirts is 104-105cm, nothing more, nothing less.
As for the khimar-selling companies, I can suggest the Dutch one named Precious Ukht (their Yemeni khimars have been a lifesaver, haha) and almost all my khimars come from there. Now, I’m more of a headscarf (hijab) + abaya girl, but if I am in the mood to wear a khimar, that’s where I usually go. They have one Yemeni model in medina silk, and the other one in jazz. I prefer the latter. Some of the khimars are claimed to be a ”knee khimar”, and being 173cm, I can confirm that they indeed reach my knees.
A French brand Liya Collection also has good quality khimars. I have tried those in medina silk, but since autumn is coming, so I think it’s better to choose from thicker fabrics like jazz etc.
Besides, I know many sisters that are happy and satisfied with Umm Hafsa and Sunnah Style khimars, but I have never ordered from there yet (would love to in the future, though), so can’t really give my opinion on those.
All these suggested companies might come off as a little bit pricey comparing to Tasnim, Akhawat, etc. (personally, I don’t buy from there, but I know that many people do), but in my opinion, the quality is sooo worth it. Plus, they offer outlet prices and discounts every now and then.
Good luck with finding what works best for your needs! It takes a lot of patience and sometimes leads to wrong choices while you’re searching, but once you find your perfect length and brand, a whole new world of possibilities opens 😀

I’ve literally been struggling to find long khimars with good quality and cjute colours.. so it made me SO SAD when Jennah Boutique stopped selling the prayer set I bought for me and my mom for umrah. I especially loved the ruffles on the khimar. So rare design but so beautiful..
